In Loving Memory of Yoseliani Marte
02.22.2008– 07.18.2026
With profound sadness and broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Yoseliani Marte, who left this world far too soon on July 18, 2026 at the age of 18.
Yoseliani, also known as “Liani” or “Mookie”, was a beautiful soul whose kindness, warmth, and vibrant spirit touched everyone fortunate enough to know her. She had a smile that could brighten even the darkest days. Whether she was spending time with family, laughing with friends, or dreaming about the future, she brought light into every room she entered.
Born on February 22, 2008 in Boston, Massachusetts, Yoseliani was the cherished daughter of Elenie Ocasio and Jose Marte and a loving sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend. She loved Hello Kitty, pink, and leopard print. She enjoyed working at Shea Butter Smoothies, where her favorite smoothie was the “Big Papi” She always enjoyed wearing her lashes, and spending time with friends, and those who knew her will forever remember her infectious laugh, caring heart, and beautiful spirit.
Although her life was tragically cut short. Yoseliani will never be defined by the way her life ended. She will be remembered for the love she shared, the joy she brought to those around her, and the countless lives she touched in just eighteen short years. Her memory will forever live on through the stories, laughter, and unconditional love she leaves behind.
She is survived by her mother Elenie Ocasio, her father Jose Marte, her stepmother Jill Feldman, her grandparents Leslie Santiago, Edwin Ocasio, and Carlos Blanco, her great-grandmother Nereida Santiago, her siblings Solomon Guerrero, Jayden Guerrero, Joel Marte, Jenelle Marte, and Jaliyah Marte, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and loved ones who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather Luis Santiago, and her cousin Aiyanna Santiago.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Yoseliani’'s life at The Cathedral of the Holy Cross on July 27, 2026 at 10:00AM.
During this unimaginable time, our family is deeply grateful for the love, prayers, and support we have received from our community. Though our hearts are forever changed, we find comfort in knowing that Yoseliani’'s love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always. She will be profoundly missed, forever cherished, and never forgotten.
