Stephen James Callahan

Callahan, Stephen James of Dorchester passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025.

U.S. Army Veteran. Beloved son of Genevieve (Gillis) and Donald Callahan. Steve will

be deeply missed by his family & friends. Steve was a great athlete who loved Boston

Sports keeping stats on each team and player. Steve was known for his Dreams of

Adventure and quiet pride. He was a man that found joy in simple moments and the

company of those he loved.

He was a loving brother to Donald and his wife Jean, sister Donna Jean, and brother

Daniel and his wife Irina and his late brother Michael.

He also leaves his Nieces & Nephews Danielle Callahan, Nicole and her husband Bill

Cosgrove, Elizabeth and her husband Michael Clarke, Melissa Callahan, Elena & Boris

Callahan, and his great nephew Francis Anthony Cosgrove.

His Nieces and Nephews will miss him dearly and forever remember him playing with

them, and his kindness and heart.

A gathering of Remembrance will take place at William F. Spencer Funeral Home,

575 E. Broadway, South Boston, MA 02127 from 11:00-12:30 Sunday November 9,

2025. All friends are welcome.
