Myrna Hennebury

Myrna K. Hughey-Hennebury, 73, died Saturday, July 17, 2010 at Quincy Medical Center. She was born May 23, 1937 in Moose River, Maine, the daughter of the late Harry W. and Inza (Newton) Hughey, sister of the late Kenneth Hughey, aunt of the late Darrell Hughey. Myrna is survived by three children Dawn, Lorna and Dennis Hennebury, five grandchildren Ariana and Jasmin Hennebury, Jonathan and Jacob Millen and Connor Hennebury, sister-in-law Patsy Hughey, three nieces Sheryl Harth, Beverly Hughey and Karen Finnegan and her close friends Carol D. and Maryanne C., and numerous friends in town. Myrna epitomized a strong moral character reflective of her small town upbringing coupled with an inner strength, that was cast iron. Her kindness was only superceded by her selfless generosity which she demonstrated by example of her life. A voracious reader, Myrna would read a many as three books a week and has probably solved more mysteries than Agatha Christy, The Hardy Boys and Columbo combined! When out and about town Myrna always greeted "her many friends" with a smile and sincere Hello. As a Hull resident for over four decades, she loved this town and its p people A self taught woman Myrna was one of the few people I know that could balance raising three children, working, baking a casserole and changing an alternator--all in the same day. It is this work ethic that helped her earn consecutive employee of the year awards at Cumberland Farms, which is no small feat considering the number of employees in such an organization Myrna took pride in her work to even the finest details. She cared. Myrna was dedicated mother, a nurturing grandmother, a loyal friend and a caring and compassionate human being. She lead a life of honor and integrity and tried to impart those values onto those she loved unconditionally. Services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2010 at 2, St. Nicholas United Methodist Church, 128 Spring St., Hull, MA. There will be refreshments at the Gould Hall after services.
