MARY (CROWLEY) CANNATA

Mary Cannata (Crowley) died unexpectedly at her home on October 25, in Burlington, Massachusetts at the age of 68.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, John, of Burlington. She is also survived by her children, Matthew and Melissa, and daughter-in-law Karin, all of South Boston, her adored grandchildren Lucy and Charlie, and many cousins and countless friends.

Mary was born in Woburn, Massachusetts on December 27, 1953 to the late Ruth and Joseph Crowley. She graduated in 1973 from Woburn High School and in 1978, married the love of her life, John.  After moving to Burlington, Mary and John started their own business, Window Wear, in Concord, Massachusetts, where she worked part-time while lovingly raising her two children.

Over the last 50 years, Mary and John have welcomed countless friends into their home, both in Burlington, as well as Mary’s happy place of Meredith, New Hampshire. Ever the gracious host, Mary made sure all were greeted with her signature smile and open arms. She treated all who entered her home as if they were family. Sharing her gifts of love, warmth and kindness, and always making sure her guests were comfortable and felt at home.

A funeral mass is scheduled for 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 29th at Gate of Heaven Church in South Boston, with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Mary’s life.  The family would like to thank the many loved ones who have reached out to share countless stories of their beloved Mary and cannot thank them enough for their love and support.
