MARIA (LEONE) PUCCIO at 87 years
Long time South Boston Resident, Loving Mother & Grandmother

Family & friends are invited to attend Visiting Hours in the Wm. F. Spencer Funeral Home, 575 E. Broadway (at H St.), SOUTH BOSTON, on Saturday, December 30thfrom 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) at Gate of Heaven Church, 609 E. Fourth St., SOUTH BOSTON for Maria (Leone) Puccio, who died unexpectedly on December 26th at the Boston Medical Center after celebrating Christmas with her loving family by her side. She was 87 years old. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery, Everett.

Maria was born & raised in Tiriolo, Catanzaro, Italy. In the early 1950s, she, her husband and their children came to live in South Boston, where they remained. Maria was a dedicated housewife and the epitome of a loving mother. Her passion was caring endlessly for her family and providing them with her legendary cooking. All of her meals that she prepared, was truly made with love. Her joy was to be with her family and share the joy of one another.

She is beloved wife of 63 years to the late Giuseppe “Joe” Puccio, who passed on November 4th, 2011. Devoted & loving mother of Vincent Puccio & his wife Linda, Anthony V. Puccio  all of South Boston & Marisa A. Puccio of Revere. Cherished grandmother of Vincent J. Puccio & his partner Stephanie, Joseph M. Puccio & Anthony M. Puccio, all of South Boston. Dear sister of Rosina Grida, Franca Torchia, & Domenico Leone & his wife Maria, all of Italy. Also lovingly survived by Linda A. Fariole of Revere & many nieces, nephews, grandnieces & grandnephews in Italy.
