LISA GRAY

Lisa Marquita Gray was born in Boston December 6, 1965 to Virginia "Ginny" Gray . From the moment Lisa came into this world she was a fighter, and rightly so garnished her nickname  "Lil Wicked". Lisa spent Her childhood in Boston before moving to California where she was known for her art skills, caring for others, cooking and outgoing personality. In her later years, Lisa returned home to Boston to be closer to her family who she cherished dearly. Lisa was a natural acrobat and was known for her spontaneous cartwheels. Lisa had a heart of gold and loved the holidays. She made sure and decorated for each one; Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter, even Halloween. Lisa will be remembered for her fearless attitude and genuine thoughtfulness. She remembered each of her loved ones birthdays, anniversaries, and enjoyed gifting them on holidays. Her humor could brighten anyone’s day, and her trash talking was infamous. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Norma Gray, her mother Ginny Gray and her nephew Iran Meikar Gray. Lisa leaves behind to cherish her partner of many years Phillip Pittman Sr., her sisters Sonja Gray, April Hopkins and step-sister Judy Merrit; as well as chosen sisters whom she held dear, Robin Carrington and Treva Richardson. She was a loving aunt to Richard R. Phipps, Sadé M. Phipps, Hellena M. Best and niece to Mickey Gray. Lisa will be missed by all who loved her, and loved passed forever in all those who knew her. Visitation in the Wm. F. Spencer Funeral Home 575 East Broadway (at H st) South Boston on Friday August 19 from 12 - 1 pm. Funeral service at 1 o'clock. Relatives and friends kindly invited.
