Joseph Thomas Robinson

Joseph Thomas Robinson, age 49, passed away on February 4th, 2026.

Raised in Hanson, Massachusetts, Joe traveled the country before planting deep roots in the Plymouth area for most of his adult life, eventually moving to a wonderful group home in Pembroke. If you spent any time in downtown Plymouth over the years, you likely ran into Joe. He was a passionate advocate for his town, a man who spoke up for his beliefs, and a generous soul who welcomed tourists with free, impromptu guided tours of Plymouth. Joe dedicated time to researching the local history of Massasoit and was able to get a phone call from Governor Maura Healy's office in regard to his tireless advocacy to promote a day in Massasoit's honor. With a heart of gold, Joe was always willing to lend a hand to anyone facing a hard time.

When he wasn't looking after his community, Joe was pouring his heart into music. He wrote and recorded his own songs, happily playing them for friends at his home in Pembroke, MA. His music brought genuine joy to those around him, including his Program Director, Karin, who cherished the memories of driving home singing his tunes.

Joe also found great joy in cheering on Boston sports, especially the Red Sox.

Joe’s memory will be carried on by his loving family. He leaves behind his nieces and nephews—Christine’s children: Katelyn, Thomas, Christopher (“Scoot”), and Samantha—and six great-nieces and nephews: Shane, Kylie, Christopher (“CJ”), Alicia, Luca, and Sofia. He is also survived by his Aunt Linda Wakelin and her son Mike, and Debra Cousens and her children, Brandy, Melissa, and Zachary. Along with the his friends at his Pembroke home and the staff who had the honor and privilege of working alongside Joe over the years.

His loved ones are praying for his peaceful journey to heaven, straight into the open arms of his mom and the angels. He will forever be their hero.

His family and friends will miss him immeasurably here on earth. And celebrate his amazing life and wish for his peaceful journey home, his family shares this final message: “May God's love be your guidance—straight to Mom and all the other angels—with arms wide open. You are a hero in our eyes with a heart of gold. We love you. Until we meet again, God bless you.”
