Jose Rivera Sostre

Jose Rivera Sostre, of Boston, passed away on September 8, 2026, at Boston Medical Center. He was 81 years old. Born on November 8, 1944, in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, he carried with him the spirit of his birthplace throughout his life and will be remembered with love by those who knew him.

Jose found joy in life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. He enjoyed collecting things, gardening, reading, and music. These interests reflected a thoughtful and engaged nature, and they brought him happiness over the years. He will be remembered as a man who appreciated both beauty and comfort in the everyday moments of life.

Above all, Jose will be remembered by his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maria Antonia Rivera, and by his children, Jose Ivan Rivera, Kathleen Rivera, and Nixsa Maria Rivera. Their bond as a family stands as an enduring part of his legacy, and his love will remain with them always.

He was preceded in death by his father, Bernado Rivera, and his mother, Catalina Sostre. Their memory remained part of his life, and he now rests in peace with them.
