Caitlin Rae Crider- passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston after a period of declining health.
Caitlin was born on February 8, 1984 in Cambridge, MA. She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Linda (Lee) Crider.
Caitlin was raised in Billerica, MA. Her childhood was spent making wonderful memories on Franklin Street with the neighborhood kids. She was involved in many activities including dance, cheer, softball and basketball. Caitlin loved spending every summer at Hampton Beach with her friends and family.
Caitlin graduated high school from the Shawsheen Tech in 2002 with her cosmetology license. She passionately worked for many years as a talented hairdresser at various salons in Chelmsford. This career was made for her as she was always dressed stylishly with perfect hair and make up. She always loved hearing about the lives of her clients while making them feel beautiful. She had a huge heart and would go to some of her clients homes if they were no longer able to come into the salon.
The true loves of her life were her children Lily and Elijah. She was always so proud of them and also loved to have them dressed perfectly. She enjoyed carrying on her childhood tradition of bringing them to the beach.
Caitlin had a bright personality and loved shopping, spending time with her friends and family. She loved getting her hair and nails done as well as going out to eat. Some of her favorite things were iced coffee, hot chocolate, strawberry boba tea, ice cream with jimmies, flowers and home decorating
Caitlin will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Besides her children, she is survived by her sister and brother- in- law Jennifer and James Ditscheit; nieces Gwenn, Avery and Megan Ditscheit of Viera FL; cousin Richard Arenella of Arlington, MA; Uncle Keith and Aunt Bonnie Crider of Westford, MA as well as several other cousins.
Caitlin's family would like to thank the Staff at Tufts Medical Center, including Bob the therapy dog for their exceptional help and compassion. We will never forget your love and kindness during this extremely difficult time.
