Born on May 27, 1955, he was a lifelong resident of Waltham, Massachusetts.

David was the son of the late Robert Lerner and Charlotte Lerner (Weisman), who passed away when he was very young, and the devoted Natalie Lerner (Weinstein), who lovingly raised him. He is survived by his devoted sister, Andrea Fahey (Lerner); his cherished nephew, Brendan Fahey; and his niece, Allison Fahey. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Glenn M. Fahey.

Dave worked at Burger King for 25 years, where he built lasting friendships and meaningful connections. Dave had a heart full of generosity and kindness, and he was known for his big heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering resilience. Once you were his friend, you were his friend for life.

He had a deep love for trivia and sports, and he took great pride in his incredible knowledge, often amazing others with his memory and enthusiasm. Dave’s infectious laugh and vibrant spirit could light up any room, and his presence brought comfort and joy to all who were near him.

Above all, Dave shared a deep and unbreakable bond with his sister Andrea, who was the cornerstone of his life. Their love and devotion to one another were truly special and will remain a lasting part of his legacy.

Dave will be remembered for his warmth, his laughter, and the love he gave so freely. He leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life is planned for the near future.
