Darcy Rocha de Souza

Darcy Rocha de Souza, 90, passed away on May 2 at Tewksbury Hospital.

She was born in Bahia, Brazil, and moved to Boston over 30 years ago, a city she deeply loved for its rich history. She knew every historical corner and had a true passion for history in general.

She was a strong, resilient woman, full of life and generosity, a woman of faith and great friend. She loved art and found joy in painting, expressing her soul through every canvas she created. She took care of many, and her love, faith, and light will be remembered by all who had the blessing of knowing her.

She is survived by her great-niece and nephews, Alexandre Cesar, Ana Carolina, and Carlos Eduardo; her dear friends who stood by her until her final moments, Rita, Miriam, and Marilene; and beloved family members in Brazil.
