The William F. Spencer Funeral Service was established in 1896. At that time, most funerals were held in the home of the deceased. We were the owners of two hearses and four horses that were used on all funerals.

Times have certainly changed since our 19th Century beginnings. However, our service to the people of Greater Boston remains as professional, reliable and dignified as it was when we first opened our doors in 1896.
